SEIKO and Landrover agree: (High) time for Namibia!

Europe has the clock, Africa has the time. The motto 'Zeit für Namibia' ('Time for Namibia') of a campaign that has now been launched in Germany alludes to this saying. Strong partners of the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) are the watch brand SEIKO and the tour operator Landrover Defender Experience.

The video on the campaign website shows two elegantly dressed young women experiencing Namibia - as self-drivers in a four-wheel drive vehicle. This is aimed specifically at female travellers, but of course also impressively reaches male holidaymakers.

"Namibia stands for Adventure, Outdoor and for selfdrive experiences in solid 4x4 cars", explains NTB Marketing Director for Europe, Matthias Lemcke, on his LinkedIn profile. "Sounds masculine only? Its not!"

Cross-promotion partner SEIKO has the female target group in mind above all, advertising its 'Presage' watch series for women with 'Zeit für Namibia'. Landrover Defender Experience and NTB, on the other hand, are cleverly banking on male pride: "Everything the two ladies can do, we can do better: Challenge accepted!"

All three partners are communicating the 'Zeit für Namibia' campaign on their websites and on social media. Namibia can also be found offline in SEIKO shops throughout Germany. The campaign was launched on Monday, 2 December, just in time for the pre-Christmas shopping season.

A competition (see the campaign website time-for-namibia.de) is attracting additional attention. "On which animals are our SEIKO travellers Josie & Mümmi riding through Namibia?", is the question. The answer can be found by watching the video.

The prizes: One of three 'Presage' watches from SEIKO worth 990 euros and an off-road driving training course for two people at the Landrover Experience Centre in Wülfrath worth 575 euros. Just the right presents to place under the Christmas tree.
