Eurowings Discover has recently started flying three days a week with two aircraft from Frankfurt to Windhoek. This weekend, the Lufthansa subsidiary increased the number of its weekly direct flights from seven to ten.

All flights take place at night. On Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the first flight departs at 21h00 and the second at 21h55. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays there is one flight. Take-off is at 21h45 and landing at 7h50.

At the end of Namibia's peak tourist season in November, the number of flights is to be reduced again from ten to seven. The Frankfurt - Windhoek route is considered one of Eurowings Discover's most successful connections since the Corona crisis.

Kruger Park, Namib Desert and VicFalls

With its first "double" flight, Eurowings Discover also launched its new Travel Vibes programme. These are training trips for representatives of tour operators and travel agencies from Germany. On these trips, they get to know the destinations first-hand, to in turn advise their clients in the best possible way.

The first Travel Vibes with 50 tour operators on board will not only take them to the popular long-haul destination Namibia. The Kruger National Park in South Africa and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe are also on the programme. Eurowings Discover has only been flying to these two destinations for a short time.

A guest at The Desert Grace

After landing in Windhoek, the group flies on to Kruger Park with the Namibian airline FlyNamibia. There they split up, with on half travelling to VicFalls and the other to Namibia.

In the land of wide horizons, the focus is on experiencing the Namib Desert. The group will also be guests at The Desert Grace of the Gondwana Collection.
