Purpurite
Introduction: Purpura is the Latin word for 'purple', its distinctive colour ; it is one of the few purple minerals. It occurs as solid lumps amongst other minerals.
Distribution: Stunning, richly coloured purpurites occur in the Sandamap pegmatites, famed for their beauty.
