Andesite
Introduction: Named after a type of an abundant rock found in the Andes Mountains of South America
Distribution: Occurs in the Khoabendus Group of rocks north of Khorixas.
Composition: Feldspar and dark minerals such as hornblende and pyroxene.
Colouration: Normally a dark colour consistent with the mineral composition.
Uses: Scenic!
