Introduction: Little is known of Campbell's girdled lizard (Cordylus campbellii) even though this species is endemic to Namibia. It is a small girdled lizard, often mistaken for the Herero girdled lizard as they both are similar in size and have flattened bodies. It lives in rock crevices and cracks on dry mountain slopes.

Distribution: Great Namaqualand in Namibia, specifically in the vicinity of Helmeringhausen.

Diet: Beetles and termites.

Colouring: The back and tail are chestnut to light brown with patchy dark-brown crossbars that sometimes bear a dark band to the centre. The back and head are adorned with small yellow spots. The belly is off-white.

Breeding: Little is known of the breeding habits of this species.

Size: SVL 60 to 75mm. Max SVL 79mm.
