The Banded thick-toed gecko is a medium-sized gecko.

Introduction: Banded thick-toed geckos (Pachydactylus fasciatus) are endemic to Namibia. They are a medium-sized gecko, slender with a flattened body. The thin tail is longer than the head and body. They live in small tunnels usually under boulders on sandy soils.

Distribution: Northern Damaraland extending to Kaokoland.

Diet: The back is light-brown to yellowish-brown with 3 regular crossbands on the body and a brown stripe around the head.

Colouring: Light-brown to yellowish-brown back, 3 crossbands on the body circle the head.

Breeding: Females lay 2 eggs in soil under rocks.

Size: SVL 40 to 50mm. Max SVL 52mm.
