Introduction: Damaraland Sand frogs (Tomopterna damarensis) inhabit arid wooded savannah. They have stout bodies and rounded snouts. Their calls are a series of high-pitched tut-tut notes, repeated at around 7/sec.

Distribution: Uniab River region near Palmwag in Damaraland.

Diet: Spiders, ants and termites.

Colouration: Reddish-brown upperparts with darker patches. The underside is white.

Breeding: There is no information as to the breeding habits of this species.

Maximum size: 41mm.
