Aloe striata spp karasbergensis

There are various locations plant lovers can view this species.

Aloe striata spp karasbergensis

The name of this species was recently changed from A. karasbergensis to the present name because there were too many similarities to a southern African species, A. striata. One of the most distinctive differences were lines on the insides of the leaves of the Namibian subspecies. There are various habitats and locations plant lovers can view this species. Unfortunately sightings in the Karas Mountains are rare, as they are westward towards the Namib escarpment. They can be seen in some parts of the Bethanië region, the Naukluft Mountains, the Huns Mountains with a few specimens having been recorded in the Sperrgebiet as well.

As they are fairly adaptable, seeds grow quite easily, although the flowers are not so attractive as others. They do grow fairly large and specimens may be difficult to garden. Flowers bloom from January to February and anytime of the year in pot plants.
