Introduction: Acacia Sprites (Pseudagrion acaciae) inhabit most of northern Namibia's perennial rivers. Claw-like tips of their lower appendages, point upwards towards the upper appendages. Their biology and behaviour remains limited.

Distribution: Kunene, Kavango, Zambezi and Kwando Rivers including Epupa Falls, Rundu and Bwabwata National Park.

Colouration: Males have a red to orange face with red eyes. The upper thorax is brick-red and the abdomen is a combination of blue and broad black tips and black markings.

Breeding: Eggs are laid in fresh water.

Flight season: August, November, December, February to April.

Conservation: Not threatened.
