Diet: In its natural habitat, the papermouth is an omnivorous fish, feeding on various small insects, crustaceans, and plant matter.

colouration: The papermouth displays an appealing colouration with a silver or light gold body adorned with dark horizontal stripes along its length. The fins may have a reddish or orange hue, enhancing their overall appearance.

Breeding: Breeding behaviour in the papermouth involves egg-scattering, and they may prefer to spawn among fine-leaved plants. In captivity, simulating their natural environment with live plants and suitable water conditions can encourage breeding.

Size: The papermouth is a small-sized fish, with adult individuals reaching a length of about 5 to 6 centimetres.
