Hyphen barb

Diet: The hyphen barb is an omnivorous fish that feeds on various food sources, including small aquatic insects, worms, algae, and other plant matter.

colouration: This species has a striking appearance with a silvery to golden body colour and two distinct black stripes running along its sides. The fins are usually transparent with a touch of orange or red.

Breeding: Breeding behaviours of the hyphen barb involve the scattering of adhesive eggs among aquatic plants. In captivity, creating the right conditions, such as providing plants for egg deposition and dim lighting, may induce breeding.
