Range and Distribution: Damara Red-Billed Hornbills are primarily found in the arid savannah and woodland areas of Namibia, where they thrive in their specialized environment.

Diet and Feeding Habits: These hornbills are omnivorous, and their diet includes a wide variety of food items, such as insects, small reptiles, fruits, and seeds.

Physical Description: The Damara Red-Billed Hornbill boasts a unique appearance with its vibrant red bill, contrasting with its black and white plumage, and striking white outer tail feathers.

Breeding behaviour: Damara Red-Billed Hornbills construct nests in tree cavities, where the female seals herself inside during incubation, leaving only a narrow opening for food to be passed to her by the male. Once the chicks are ready to fledge, the female breaks free, and the family leaves the nest together.

Size: Approximately 45cm.

Weight: Around 200-250g.
