Fun Fact: Long-Tailed worm lizards are a largish species.

Introduction: Long-Tailed worm lizards (Dalophia longicauda) are a largish species that resemble the blunt-tailed worm lizard. They prefer the moist alluvial soils along permanent river courses.

Distribution: Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip), Bwabwata National Park, Mudumu National Park, Nkasa Rupara National Park, Chobe River, Victoria Falls.

Diet: Beetles.

Colouring: A fleshy-pink uniform body colour has light grey speckles on body and tail.

Breeding: Reproductive habits are not known for this species.

Size: Max SVL 365mm.
