Introduction: The Blunt-Tailed worm lizard (Dalophia pistillum) is by far Namibia's largest worm lizard. Even so, they are preyed upon by quill-snouted snakes, ratels and polecats.
Distribution: Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip), Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and eastern Namibian Kalahari Desert regions.
Diet: Beetles and their larvae.
Colouring: There are some light grey speckles on the back and tail on a mainly uniformly flesh-coloured body.
Breeding: Females lay up to 4 eggs in September.
Size: Max SVL 560mm.
