Introduction: Boyle's Beaked Blind snake (Rhinotyphlops boylei) is a small, slender snake with an angular snout. They can be found in a sandveld habitat under stones or in termite nests..

Distribution: Central and eastern Namibia including Windhoek and extending from Gobabis to Tsumeb and east through the Kalahari Desert to Botswana.

Diet: Mainly termites.

Colouring: An olive brown body with pale side scales with dark brown centres. The belly is pale yellow.

Breeding: The male coils around the rear of the female tightly in mating.

Size: Max SVL 217mm.
