Introduction: The Husab sand lizard (Pedioplanis husabensis) is endemic to Namibia. It is a small lizard, terrestrial, preferring open areas of flat rock on exposed bedrock.
Distribution: Restricted to the rocky desert of the confluence of the ephemeral Khan and Swakop Rivers in the Husab Mountains in central Namibia.
Diet: It catches and eats small lizards.
Colouring: The back is greyish in front and reddish-brown to the rear and bears dark dots and bars.
Breeding: Hatchlings emerge in April to June.
Size: SVL 45 to 55mm. Max SVL 52mm.
