Fun Fact: Anchieta's Spade-Snouted worm lizardcan be found in moist savannah.

Introduction: Anchieta's Spade-Snouted worm lizard (Monopeltis anchietae) can be found in moist savannah which enters the more drier regions of its distribution range.

Distribution: Northern Namibia including Etosha National Park, Tsumkwe, Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip), Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls.

Diet: Termites.

Colouring: The upper regions, from the snout to the tail tip is a reddish-brown colour, darkest behind the head and over the tail.

Breeding: Not known.

Size: Max SVL 345mm.
