Introduction: The Velvety thick-toed gecko (Pachydactylus bicolour) is endemic to Namibia. It is a beautiful number, small with a flattened body and head. They are rock livers and nocturnal, favouring areas of scattered rocky outcrops, sheltering in thin cracks.
Distribution: North-western Damaraland and Kaokoland.
Diet: Small insects.
Colouring: A light buff body with scattered brown blotches and band with complimentary yellow-brown blotches. The tail is yellow-brown, with dark spots and a yellow-white belly.
Breeding: Females lay 2 eggs in a rock crack.
Size: SVL 30 to 40mm. Max SVL 40mm.
