Introduction: Schert's thick-toed gecko (Pachydactylus scherzi) is endemic to Namibia. It is a small gecko often confused with the speckled thick-toed gecko. They are rock living and live in cracks or under stones.
Distribution: The inland escarpment and coastal plain of Namibia from the Brandberg to Kaokoland.
Diet: Small invertebrates.
Colouring: The back is dark-brown decorated with characteristic dark-edged pale crossbars. The belly creamy-white.
Breeding: Females lay a clutch of 2 eggs.
Size: SVL 25 to 35mm. Max SVL 35mm.
