Kaokoland flat gecko

Fun Fact: The Kaokoland flat gecko can be found in rocky outcrops.

Introduction: The Kaokoland flat gecko (Afroedura cf. Bogerii) can be found in rocky outcrops and dry savannah areas in it's distribution range. It is a small species with a broad segmented tail on a flattened body, allowing them to habite in narrow cracks and crevices in sandstone boulders, to allow for adequate and preferred shady resting places.

Distribution: Epupa Falls region in the far reaches of north Kaokoland.

Diet: Small insects.

Colouring: The back is brownish-grey with a number of yellow spots edging dark bands along the flanks. The belly is off-white.

Breeding: Not known.

Size: SVL 40 to 50mm. Max SVL 50mm.
