Fun Fact: Kaoko web-footed geckos are rather unusual but attractive looking geckos.

Introduction: Kaoko web-footed geckos (Palmatogecko vanzyli) are rather unusual but attractive looking geckos that have slender bodies, flattened heads, a pointed snout and large eyes with vertical pupils. They construct day time burrows in the sand using their clawed front feet in conjunction with webbed hind feet to push the sand out of the way on the way down.

Distribution: Northern Skeleton Coast areas of the Namib Desert

Diet: Termites and small beetles.

Colouring: A light brown back with purply brown blotches along the back and tail. The belly is white.

Breeding: Females lay 2 large eggs.

Size: SVL 50 to 60mm. Max SVL 60mm.
