Fun Fact: The festive gecko is a very small gecko with a flattened body.

Introduction: The festive gecko (Narudasia festiva) is a very small gecko with a flattened body and head. It has large eyes with vertical pupils. The cylindrical tail is longer than the body. They prefer rock walls and boulders associated with rocky slopes and mountain ravines.

Distribution: Southern & Central Namibia from the Orange River to Damaraland.

Diet: Ants and flies active in the early morning and early evening.

Colouring: Grey to purple to chestnut-brown body with a dirty white to yellow belly.

Breeding: Females lay 2 hard-shelled eggs in rock cracks.

Size: SVL 25 to 30mm. Max SVL 31mm.
