Fun Fact: White stemmed acacia are also known as mukoka.

White stemmed acacia: Acacia polyacantha are also known as mukoka and is found in the dry woodlands of the Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip). A very straight growing plant it reaches 20m high with a largish trunk that measures over half a metre. The dark yellow-grey bark peels to display a whitish inner layer.

Livestock and game browse the pale green leaves and white flowers change to a creamy colour in November to February. Dark-green seeds are revealed when the oblong dark brown pod matures. Medicinal uses include treatment for snakebites, sore throats and flu.
