Introduction: Spiralfan worms ('Spirobis' spp.) are minute coiled worms with characteristic spiral shells. The head has a number of filter-feeding branches that are feathery in appearance. They are very common, scattered populations on rocks in shallow waters and in pools being their favoured habitats.

Distribution: Throughout Namibian waters including Möwe Bay, Cape Cross, Henties Bay, Jakkalsputz, Wlozkasbaken, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and Luderitz.

Colouration: Orange-brown and white

Max size: 2mm
