Fun Fact: This species is named after the Egyptian goddess Nephthys.

Introduction: Nephthys' sand-worms (Nephtys spp.) burrow in lagoonal sandbanks and sandy beaches. The anterior lobe is small, squat and equipped with 4 antennae. The proboscis is usually withdrawn into the body and rows of soft spikes line the snout in a ring of finger-like papillae. This species is named after the Egyptian goddess Nephthys.

Distribution: Throughout the Namibian coastline

Diet: Minute sea food

Colouration: White body

Max size: 65mm
