Fun Fact: So-called as their segments resemble a bamboo stalk.

Introduction: Bamboo worms (Euclmene spp.) are so-called because of their cylindrical body with longer than usual segments which resemble a bamboo stalk. This enable them to burrow head down into sand. Head features include a raised margin and a flat plate. The anus is sunken into a 'frilly funnel'.

Distribution: Throughout Namibian coastal regions.

Diet: Organic particles.

Breeding: Not known

Max size: 120mm
