Introduction: Yellow-veined Widows (Palpopleura jucunda jucunda) can be found at spring-fed ponds and streams with lush vegetation. Adults frequent thick rushes. Incundus is Latin for 'pleasing, appealing'.

Distribution: Epupa Falls, Kunene River, Kaokoland, Waterberg, Baynes Mountains, Arandis, Palmwag and Von Bach Dam near Okahandja.

Colouration: Black frontal half of the wing bases, a yellow and black pterostigma, blue abdomen and pale yellow sides of the thorax and legs.

Breeding: Oval shaped eggs are laid in plant tissue.

Flight season: Throughout the year except for August and November.

Conservation: Not threatened.
