Fun Fact: The first specimens of the Salisbury Sprite were collected in Salisbury Mashonaland, Zimbabwe.

Introduction: The first specimens of the Salisbury Sprite (Pseudagrion salisburyense) were collected in Salisbury (now Harare) Mashonaland, Zimbabwe.  Examples of this Sprite have been collected from larger running streams, waters and dams.

Distribution: The Tsauchab, Tsondab, Fish and Orange River catchments and the Oanob Dam.

Colouration: Dark blue thorax, black upper eyes, green below the eyes.

Breeding: Egg development is around 2 weeks.

Flight season: Throughout most of the year, September to November and February to May.

Conservation: Not threatened.
