Introduction: The common name Gracious Whisp (Agriocnemis gratiosa) refers to the charming quality of this species, Latin for gratiosa meaning both 'gracious and kind'. The lower appendages are slightly longer than the upper ones.

Distribution: Kavango River, Rundu to the Mahango Game Reserve and Bwabwata National Park.

Colouration: The dorsum of the male's abdomen is greenish with broad black marking.

Breeding: Larval development is from between 1 to 2 months.

Flight season: Throughout the year, except for April to August.

Max size: With an abdominal length of 21mm in males, this is the largest species of the genus in Namibia.

Conservation: Not threatened.
