Fun Fact: Dark Sprites occur at swampy fringes of rivers. They are named after RC Dening, a noted entomologist.

Introduction: Dark Sprites (Pseudagrion deningi) occur at swampy fringes of rivers. They are named after RC Dening, a noted entomologist.

Distribution: Kavango and Kwando Rivers.

Colouration: Mostly black above with some segments light blue. The underside of the eyes are green, the upperside black.

Breeding: Emergence at Kwando River has been recorded.

Flight season: August, December, February and March.

Conservation: Not threatened.
