Introduction: Common Oranges (Ceriagrion glabrum) can be found along the swampy river segments and in seasonal rain pools. In drier regions well-vegetated perennial waters such as streams and wetlands created by leaking dams are favoured.

Distribution: Caprivi and Kavango Rivers, south as far as Etosha National Park and onto the Hardap Dam near Mariental.

Colouration: Yellow to reddish-brown head and thorax, greenish eyes. Bright orange-red abdomen in fully developed males. Females are brownish.

Breeding: Egg development can take up to 1 month.

Flight season: Throughout the year.

Conservation: Not threatened.
