Introduction: Bushveld Orange Tips (Colotis pallene) fly slowly and close to the ground in bushveld regions.

Distribution: Northern Namibia, Zambezi Region (formerly the Caprivi Strip) and as far south as Helmeringhausen. .

Breeding/Larval food: Caper-bushes.

Colouration: Males are white above with more red than orange. The wing veins in the red patch are black outlined.

On the wing: Throughout the year.

Wingspan: Approx 40mm.
