Introduction: Atlantic yellow-nosed albatrosses (Thalassarche chlororhynchos) inhabit the open ocean and shelf-break, singly or in small groups, but mixing with other species of seabirds at fishing vessels. This species tend to prefer warmer waters than other albatrosses.

Distribution: Widespread off the coast of Namibia.

Diet: Surface-seizes, surface-plunges and at times plunge-dives for tuna and cetaceans. Eats primarily pelagic fish such as herring, anchovy, sardines, mackerel, squid and offal.

Description: Chlororhynchos is Greek for 'yellow-bill'.

Breeding: Extralimital.

Size: 80cm.

Weight: 2.2kg.

Wingspan: 2m.
