Distribution: Throughout most of Namibia less for the southern Namib Desert.
Diet: Eats beetles, ants, flies, spiders, fruits and seeds.
Description: Cinerascens is Latin for 'ashen'. Often confused with the grey tit which has less white on the hind neck, a brownish back (not bluish-grey and buffy flanks (not grey).
Breeding: In Namibia, females lay 3 to 6 eggs in a nest made of animal hair and soft plant fibres between October to March.
Size: 15cm.
Weight: 19g.
