Distribution: Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Etosha National Park and Windhoek.

Diet: Deep water foragers by day or night for plant matter, mainly seeds and tubers of water plants.

Description: Medium-sized shorebird. Limosa is 'muddy' a reference to their non-breeding habit.

Breeding: Extralimital.

Size: 44cm.

Weight: 330g.
