Bribery

There have been isolated reports of police officers soliciting bribes at road blocks - although we are not entirely sure that these are factual. Our advice would be to refuse to pay if anyone did ask you for a bribe as this is ilegal. Also remember there are NO spot fines in Namibia so if anyone tries to solicit money from you in this manner politely decline and move along.

Corruption is dealt with by the Anti Corruption Commission and if you do come across anything untoward they would probably like to hear from you.
