Good news for self-driving holidaymakers: The Namibian car hire company Namibia2Go is now also located at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
The tourism group Gondwana, to which Namibia2Go belongs, officially opened the new location yesterday. The airport is situated about 30 kilometres east of Windhoek. With a fleet of over 300 vehicles, Namibia2Go is one of the largest car hire companies in Namibia.
According to Gondwana's press release, the design of the spacious office sets the mood for the driving experience in Namibia's vast landscapes. Namibia2Go would offer a personalised 24-hour support service and works smoothly with all tour operators.
The car rental company's premises are located on the tar road to Windhoek, about one kilometre from the airport building. There is a free shuttle for customers from the airport to the company's location.
The shuttle bus commutes every 15 to 20 minutes. Customers can therefore exchange currency or purchase SIM cards at the airport beforehand.
The hire car can of course also be booked online in advance. The website provides an overview of the vehicle fleet. You can also find other offers such as the many lodges of the Gondwana Group throughout Namibia or complete round trip packages.
In addition to the new location at Hosea Kutako International Airport, Namibia2Go still has an office with vehicles in Windhoek. Other locations are Walvis Bay south of Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast and Katima Mulilo in the east of the Zambezi region (formerly known as the Caprivi Strip).
