Flynamibia Plans To Fly To Three New Regional Destinations In 2024

22 Nov 2023

From the beginning of April 2024, travellers will also be able to fly to the Victoria Falls from Windhoek with FlyNamibia. This was announced by the private Namibian airline in a press release. It will offer three flights a week from Hosea Kutako International Airport to Vic Falls from 4 April 2024.

FlyNamibia will operate the route on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service is aimed at both holidaymakers and business travellers.

Discover Airlines also flies three times a week from Windhoek to Vicfalls: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The German holiday airline informed that it will continue to offer flights on the extra route in its summer flight schedule from April.

Incidentally, Vicfalls in Zimbabwe is apparently just one of three new destinations in the southern African region that FlyNamibia intends to add to its flight network in the coming year. At least that is what the specialised portal Simple Flying reports. Maun on the Okavango Delta in Botswana and the Angolan capital Luanda are also in the pipeline.

So far, Cape Town is the Namibian airline's only destination outside Namibia. It lands there on a triangular route with a return flight. From Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek, it flies via Cape Town to Walvis Bay and back to Windhoek. Afterwards, the journey is in the opposite direction from Windhoek via Walvis Bay and Cape Town back to Windhoek. The flights take place four times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
