Namibia's river landscapes in the Zambezi region will soon be less than two hours away from Namibia's capital. Air Botswana will be flying directly between Kasane on the Zambezi River and Windhoek three times a week from 5 October.
The flights will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. The aircraft takes off from Kasane at 1.00 pm and lands in Windhoek at 2.45 pm. Departure from Windhoek is at 3.30 pm, landing in Kasane at 5.15 pm.
The private Namibian airline FlyNamibia has also been offering a connection from Windhoek to the Zambezi region since the beginning of July. However, it has a stopover in Maun on the Okavango Delta. This means that it takes considerably more than two hours to reach Katima Mulilo.
From 1 November, Maun will no longer be a destination. FlyNamibia will then also operate direct flights on the Windhoek - Katima route. Three times a week: Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The outward flight takes place from 10.15 am to 11.40 am, the return flight from 12.55 pm to 2.15 pm.
