Lianshulu Bush Lodge is set on the banks of the River Kwando in a 800ha private concession inside Mudumu National Park. This beautiful location makes for a perfect stopover for visiting Namibia's Zambezi Region or on the way to or from Victoria Falls, Chobe Park or the Okavango Delta. This is a sister-lodge to the larger Lianshulu Lodge. Both lodges are about a 90min drive from Katima Mulilo and three hours by road from Kasane.
Mudumu National Park enjoys a scenic riverine environment with thick concentrations of mopane forest throughout. You can drive through this forest and over floodplains in search of wildlife, stopping at the many vantage points along the way to view mammals. Many photographic opportunities will present themselves when the animals stop by the river to drink. Several animals in the park have been fitted with global positioning collars so their movements can be tracked by rangers. Information is gathered from these devices and with it a better understanding of animal behaviour which works perfectly with the ability to protect and conserve the parks wildlife.
As the bush lodge is just a short 10min boat trip or a 30min drive by road from Lianshulu Lodge it shares that magical overhead riverine forest canopy and bushveld, woodland, open savannah and wetland surrounds. The management and staff pride themselves on attention to detail and personal service throughout your stay. Relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings and wine and dine at well-placed individual tables for both breakfast and dinner. In the evening enjoy a nightcap around the firepit and exchange stories and adventures in the company of others. Bush Lodge is powered by a combination of generator and solar power.
Guests of Bush Lodge stay in 8 comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms with gauze screen doors and mosquito netting. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom, a ceiling fan and an in-room safe. Enjoy stunning river views from your private terrace and fall asleep to the night sounds of one of Namibia's most least visited national parks.
The outstanding diversity of habitats ensures Lianshulu Bush Lodge is a year-round wildlife-rich destination. Lion, leopards and hyenas roam day and night. As there is plenty of running water in the park expect to see large herds of elephant, buffalo and hippos. Zebra, giraffe and many species of antelope especially roan and sable can be observed. Other water-loving creatures includes crocs, spotted-necked otters and the rare sitatunga and red lechwe.
Enjoy searching for wildlife by vehicles, on foot or on the water. All game drives are conducted in open-sided 4x4 vehicles. Boat cruises are operated in purpose-built crafts. You will be accompanied at all times by knowledgeable and experienced guides. Refreshments are served on all activities.

These are honest reviews, both good and bad, from our travellers who visited this property.
We stayed at the Lianshulu Lodge as opposed to the "Bush" lodge. The food was outstanding and clearly the best of the whole trip which also included the Chobe Game Lodge, Okati and Sevuti. It is a great facility but a fan in the room would be an improvement as it was very hot when we stayed there.
