The Kalahari Desert in the eastern part of Namibia offers a distinctive landscape that is unlike the lush northern parts of Namibia, yet it enchants travellers through the serenity and quietude it conveys. Against the backdrop of the vibrant blue hues of the sky, the clean lines of the red sand dunes are pronounced even more and from the moment visitors set foot at Kalahari Anib Camping2Go, they delve into a visual spectacle.
Kalahari Anib Camping2Go encompasses four permanent tents, each equipped with four beds as well as an en-suite bathroom that includes a shower. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a fridge, a stove and a sink as well as all other necessary cooking utensils and cutlery you need in order to create a sensational dinner while being immersed in nature. In addition, there is an outside braai and a firepit to gather around and enjoy Namibia’s glorious evening skies.
The facilities at Kalahari Anib Lodge are also available to campers and upon request, guests are invited to enjoy tasty meals at the restaurant, take a refreshing dip in one of the pools or partake in various lodge activities.
Sunrise/Sundowner Drive (guided): Enjoy the panoramic views across the Kalahari dunes on this guided drive in an open vehicle. Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. Book in advance or at the lodge.
E-bike (un-guided): Explore the Kalahari in your own time, with minimal effort on an electric bicycle (fat bike). A trail map is available at the reception.
Hiking Trails (unguided; only to be booked directly at the lodge): Explore the Kalahari on foot on your own initiative. A trail map is available at the reception.
Dune Walk (guided): Explore the Kalahari on foot with a guide. Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. This activity is done on request and bookable at the lodge only.
Morning Drive for Families (guided, subject to availability): Join a 2-hour morning drive with a dedicated tour guide. After a leisurely drive guests will arrive at one of the red dunes. The red sand of the dunes invites all children to play. The family will spend some relaxed time on the dunes with coffee and hot chocolate. The guide will share some interesting facts on fauna and flora with the children (and their parents).
