Villa Vista is a bed-and-breakfast establishment situated in a quiet, but mainstream Windhoek neighbourhood. Only a very short drive from the CBD, it caters for the business community, individual or self-drive travellers and families alike. The close proximity to a wide range of amenities enhances its appeal, not to mention efficient service in a relaxing environment, carefully managed by the family owners. Although the location and the premises are aimed for up-market guests, a value-for-money stay is ensured.
On entering Villa Vista, guests are met at the reception area and can immediately relax in the beautiful guest lounge. Downstairs is the open-air swimming pool and sauna. Other amenities are covered on-site parking and a solar water-heating system.
Filling and tasty breakfasts are served 'al fresco' under a spacious covered balcony. Spectacular sunsets can be appreciated from the same venue. Freshly cooked muffins, tea, coffee, fruit juices, a selection of preserves, fresh bread, cheese, sliced meats can be further enjoyed by the 180º views over the city bowl and Khomas Hochland. A hot breakfast is also available. Ask for French toast with bacon and egg, savoury mince or scrambled eggs and croissant. Alternatively plump for a breakfast pizza.
For lunch and dinner, the management team can advise on recommended local restaurants. Joe's Beer House, a legend amongst Windhoek restaurants, is only a short walk away.
Accommodation is in 14 double size bedrooms including 3 self-catering units, all tastefully and individually designed and decorated. Most rooms have baths and a private balcony or patio. Beautiful en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, telephone, TV, Wi-fi, hair dryer, hot tray, tea/coffee station, bar fridge and laptop-size safe are standard.
An ideal way to work up an appetite is to visit the Mini Crossfit Gym. WOD's, or Work Outs of the Day as they are known in the muscle world offer an alternative in your daily exercise routine to lifting weights and pounding your shin splints to a pulp on a treadmill. Tone up your body using skipping ropes, dumb bells and a rowing machine instead. That breakfast pizza doesn't seem such a bad idea after a session in Villa Vista's Mini Crossfit Gym.

These are honest reviews, both good and bad, from our travellers who visited this property.
Excellent accommodations and really nice hosts who went out of their way to be sure I was comfortable.
Very comfortable accommodation with good breakfast in a central area of town. Helpful staff and great pool.
Great spot for a stop over in Windhoek. Great breakfast. Friendly management. Nice views. Lovely accommodation.
Very clean and spacious room. Breakfast superb. Owners friendly. Short walk to the center and Joe`s beer house.
Beautiful place. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room excellent - bright, clean and spacious. Superb breakfast.
Nice rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. It's not located close to any restaurants though which was a shame. 7/10
Very lovely place - the owners are very friendly and helpful and the location is great. I can see why it sells out a lot
Spacious rooms and common areas; the staff is very friendly. The view from the common area patio is wonderful at twilight.
A new lodgings, still being finished, which was very good. 20 minutes walk from town and 15 minutes walk from restaurants.
Great place; lovely rooms and views; wonderful breakfast; need to drive to restaurants in the evening due to safety concerns.
This is a great hotel, and we all loved it. Wished that we could stayed there on our last day in Namibia instead of the Hilton.
Nice enough place and a good place to let us gather ourselves after the flight. Felt a bit unfinished in places but overall fine.
It was good to return to Villa Vista. Again, friendly greeting, and very helpful with restaurant booking. Good selection at breakfast.
Nice hotel. There was some confusion about the family unit (it was assigned to two families). Not sure if that was their internal problem.
This was a surprise: beautiful design, large comfortable rooms, wonderful view, within walking distance from downtown, very friendly owners.
Excellent spot to start and end the trip in Namibia. Clean, safe parking, nice rooms. Great hospitality by the elderly couple that hosted us.
Very comfortable and aesthetically pleasing guest house. Bonus that cars are parked in garages with easy access to the inside. Service excellent.
Nice, clean hotel, friendly&helpful staff, location within walking distance from main sights. Nice view (sundowner terrace, and some of the rooms).
simple but adequate b&b, very helpfull management and staff. One speical service: if you are early enough, you might be able to park your car inside! AAA
Villa Vista was great. We really enjoyed it. Good restaurants nearby. Everything was clean and the breakfast was good. Garage space for the car was nice also.
Great spot. Very welcoming owners/staff. Easy to find, within walking distance of all the things we wanted to see. Great rooms. Would highly recommend Villa Vista
Ideal for a short stay in Windhoek. Clean and bright rooms, friendly management. The only negative was very noisy (chinese) neighbours with dogs that barked a lot.
Clean friendly and a good place to start. Thanks to Alison for getting a restaurant reservation. On a Sunday I dont think we would have found anywhere by ourselves.
The owner are extremely nice and very helpful. The rooms are fairly large and very clean. The breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the pool after a day in the heat !
Nice place and nice hosts. Fairly new and has a view of Windhoek. Theyn need to have a street address number as it was a challenge keying in the place on the NAV as it was listed
Very nice, great location, friendly helpful staff. Loved the garage for car security. I actually booked an extra night for my daughter as her friends were coming in the next day.
Very pleasant B&B and allocated close to some nice restaurants which were easy to get to and fairly priced. Good facilities at Villa Vista and would recommend it and use it again.
Nice clean and simple accommodation very conveniently located in Windhoek. Good secure parking for self drivers although not if you have a 4x4 with a roof tent as it will be too tall.
great location and great place to spend the first night of a 2 week trip. The owners were great and the food on offer was very good. The rooms also large and couldnt fault them really.
We were feeling at home here. Our special thanks to the owners and management of the place, who were of a great help in some extraordinary situations. First, they are very good people.
Not quite finished yet but it will be a very nice, clean and cozy hotel. Nice pool and sauna. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our few hours in Windhoek.
Thank you for recommending Villa Vista. Francette and team were brilliant and really looked after our large party. I am planning to use Villa Vista in the future when I visit Windhoek on business
We loved the Villa Vista. We suggest you continue to use this hotel. It is a pretty hotel, very spacious and light, on a quiet street. The breakfast is very good and the owners are friendly and helpful.
Our final stop. Bigger and busier than House on Olof Palme - but we enjoyed it too. Large room, well equipped, high ceiling and balcony overlooking the pool, with The Social restaurant in walking distance.
Absolutely beautiful. the rooms were spacious and comfortable. the staff was lovely. the food was superb. the only issue was we couldn't fit in their garages [we have a roof box] so we had to park on the road.
Extremely helpful hosts, dealing with 8 of us arriving/departing at different times - sorted taxis, recommended restaurants, provided a great 'breakfast' snack, very nice accommodation. Thank you - really enjoyed it.
We enjoyed our stay at Villa Vista during our brief stop in Windhoek. It was clean, was safe/secure and provided easy access to restaurants and the city center. Additionally, the owners were very nice and helpful with our questions.
Very friendly couple who run this Lodge. Warm welcome. Very sweet and lovely rooms, good service! They helped us with all the needs we had and we even could choose our room, because it wasnt fully booked. Beautiful terasse with a nice view over Windhoek!
This little guest house is an absolute gem. It is close to city centre, but is located in a private residential area. The owners were superb about making sure we got everything we needed. Breakfast overlooking Windhoek was so relaxing and tasty. Would stay again and again.
Great choice, clean, convenient and accommodating. Villa Vista was a great place to start and finish our trip. Very nicely appointed in a quiet neighborhood. Unassuming from the outside, it was elegant and friendly on the inside, with a great upper-story deck looking out on Windhoek.
