Olive Grove is a guets house situated close to the city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. It is a good choice of accommodation in Windhoek and and the rooms cater for every need of the traveller, their emphasis is one of simplicity and elegance.
For example, the inside lounge is tastefully decorated, with comfortable chairs and a welcoming fireplace. There is a guest computer available, so emails and photographs can be exchanged with family and friends back home. Guests can also help themselves to drinks from the 'honour bar.'
The open-air lounge, spa bath, plunge pool and tranquil garden, all invite the visitor to unwind and relax, either under a warm Namibian afternoon or a beautiful, star-lit sky.
Olive Grove's wellness room offers a selection of professional services and therapies, especially designed to de-stress and recuperate guests, perhaps after a long flight or at the end of an arduous and adventurous holiday. Their resident therapist will rejuvenate and invigorate even the most tired and aching body, with a combination of hot stone treatments, Swedish massages, facials, manicures, reflexology and a host of other balanced and healthy treatments.
Accommodation is in 10 rooms. One of Olive Grove's main features is the large veranda in front of every room, with tables and chairs for 'al fresco' dining. There is no better way to end a perfect day at Olive Grove Guest House, than to slip under a down duvet and onto to those 100% cotton sheets. There are:
Standard Rooms: Each of the 3 Standard Rooms has remote controlled air-conditioning, direct dial telephones, multi-channel satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities, a mini-bar, snack bar and a private wall-mounted safe.
Luxury Rooms: The 7 Luxury Rooms have the same furnishings and similar facilities as the Standard Rooms all presented with an abundance of style.
Executive Suite: The executive suite is large and spacious complete with private lounge and dining area, separate bedroom and luxurious bathroom. For the travelling executive, the private lounge is an excellent venue for small meetings or a convenient 'home office', equipped with an 84cm flat screen TV, DVD player/mini Hi-Fi, and complimentary Amarula, sherry and mineral water. The facilities are similar to the standard/luxury rooms.
Residents of the guest house can enjoy lunch or dinner on the verandah, and meals can be complemented with a hand-picked selection of fine South African wines.
There is also a laundry service, airport (and other) shuttle service and secure on-site parking (ideal for you vehicle rented from Windhoek International Airport)

Convenient but we found the differences between the standard rooms and the luxury rooms almost nil.
Comfortable. Changed rooms. Would not like to be in rooms beside dining area, not very private. Helpful staff.
We love The Olive Hotel. Thanks for the upgrading. Olive Guest House its a good first aproachment to Windhoek.
We enjoyed our stay here - the manager Kobbus was very friendly and enthusiastic and the dinner was delightful.
Fabulous! Food great. Room lovely - they upgraded us to a room upstairs which was beautiful. Great way to wind down our trip.
Good place and it has a restaurant which is a bonus. Very friendly and helpful - they lent us a cold box for the two week trip.
Good service and good food. The upstairs room was very comfortable and far superior to the downstairs one we had on the first night.
Very friendly people, very good food, when we went to sleep after dinner there was a surprise in the room (two glasses with port :-))
lovely welcome, nice room, we got a free upgrade to the suite on our last night, though the door got stuck. Great helpful staff & nicest breakfast in namibia
Great place, my darling wife loved the place. Only comment is a mirror in the bedroom, close to a plug point where she could do (blow dry) her hair, would be great.
We were upgraded to The Olive and it ROCKED ... one of the nicest B&B's we have EVER seen. Really, really, really pleased with this venue. Our hosts were the best too!
Beautiful room, lovely service, great breakfast and helpful on transport-couldnt have been happier with the choice of place to stay for first couple of days in Namibia
Unfortunately only there for 1 night. Would have liked to stay longer. Bruce showed us their new garden suites, they are beautiful. next time we come we will go for that.
A lovely facility--our room was quite specious and well-appointed. We appreciated the location close to the center of Windhoek since it allowed us to walk into town to do a bit of exploring.
Loved it. Rooms were beautiful, food was excellent, service great. Really enjoyed our stays here. We were sad our holiday was ending but really looking forward to being at Olive Grove on our last night.
Lovely place to stay for a bit of luxury after camping. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Luxurious en-suite bathroom, comfy bed. Loved the little touches - homemade cookies in the room, port and chocolate delivered before bed. Would recommend.
Wonderful! We were upgraded by them to The Olive boutique which was exceedingly good. Warm welcome from staff and both dinner and breakfast were excellent - could happily have enjoyed longer there. Would highly recommend to anyone arriving in Windhoek.
Very efficient and friendly lady at reception, communicate in Afrikaans, very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Wish I knew her name. Lodging was great, wonderful atmosfhere, rooms, bathrooms luxourious. Breakfast also very good. Enjoyed our stay.
Very nice hotel, very good service and food; it's worth noting that the toilet is in the room and does not have a door! Also that some rooms have less privacy as they open dirctly in the dinner area (we were lucky and have lovely rooms both times we stayed there).
The rooms are lovely and we ate there one night, which was lovely. We met JP when we first arrived and he was really helpful with trying to find our lost bags and proving some advice on bits and pieces for us. The place is comfortable, clean and has some lovely features, like the pool and spa.
