Individual travellers, self-drive tourists and the business community alike will be attracted to this convenient location, the wide range of accommodation available and the classic interior furnishings installed behind a magnificent glass frontage. Swakopmund is most famous for its well-maintained German colonial buildings that proudly line the town's streets. Many have been transformed into art galleries, shops and residential buildings. The town has now become a popular Namibian holiday resort, an adventurous coastal destination that offers sun, sea and sand. December and January herald the onset of an annual human migration to the ocean, all targeting the slightly warmer than usual seas (although thanks to the cold Benguela Current this part of the Atlantic Ocean is never warm!), sandy beaches and numerous cafés, bars and restaurants. Bordering the town are the rocks, stones and sand of the Namib Desert. For some this ancient landscape provides nothing more than a desert playground, for others a paradise of desert-dwelling life in the sand.
Facilities at Beach Hotel include an 'a la carte' restaurant with a sea view dining area, a cellar for wine testing and special occasions, a lounge with spacious seating, complimentary coffee bar and small library. The roof terrace offers a swimming pool, cocktail bar with all-round views of both the city, desert and sea. There is free WLAN throughout the premises (including the rooms), safe parking in the basement garage and complementary guest transport to/from the city centre in a motorized rickshaw.

These are honest reviews, both good and bad, from our travellers who visited this property.
Fantastic offering for 3-star establishment. Food was good and service in restaurant excellent. Will stay there again too.
The Beach Hotel worked out great for our brief stop in Swakopmund, as it provided easy access to the city center and the beach. We had dinner at The Tug restaurant on the Swakopmund jetty and would highly recommend it.
Probably my favorite hotel, anywhere. I've stayed here before and was glad the experience was as good the second time. Beautiful place, beautiful family room. Dinner at the hotel's restaurant was only average, not as good as I'd expected. Not an issue though.
Beach Hotel in Swakop is a tradicional hotel, with excellent service. Rooms are in standard size, but the infrastructure of the hotel is very good. It have also a good restaurant and is located in front of the Aquarium, near the beach and some blocks of the small city center. I liked.
On entering Swakopmund get onto the main road Sam Nujoma Avenue (if you are entering Swakopmund on the B1 from Windhoek, then you are already on this road) and follow it towards the sea. At the T-junction with Strand Street South turn left, the Beach Hotel is on the left as you pass the aquarium
