Alte brücke

Alte Brücke is an ideal coastal self-catering, bed and breakfast establishment for travellers and families who prefer to be by the beach, but still not too far from the town. It is near the national aquarium and only 10 minutes walk from Swakopmund town centre, Here you can use the banking and medical facilities, shops, and wine and dine in a decent range of eateries and bars.

Although there is no restaurant here, Alte Brücke can recommend the nearby Tiger Reef Beach Bar, The Tug, The Lighthouse and The Napolitana for meals and refreshments.

There is a beautiful garden to chill out and relax in. Log on to the Wi-Fi and update friends and family about your travels. Other facilities include disabled access, secure off-road parking and a laundry service. Alte Brücke is situated nearby, and gets it's name from an old bridge.

Functions and conferences for between 80-90 people can be catered for. It has the added attraction of having it's own fully-licensed bar. This is the perfect venue for small corporate and business meetings and seminars, weddings, birthdays, group lunches and dinners.

The Delight Swakopmund

The Delight Swakopmund

Contradicting the stylistic traditional norm of the coastal town, Swakopmund, The Delight is a breath of fresh ocean air. Bright colours and friendly faces are standard in our very first city hotel. A place where champagne and oyster breakfasts are a daily ritual. Where the town’s best Mojito is served by a smiling barkeep and where style and a chic atmosphere do not take away from the welcoming environment that is The Delight. Rooms are adorned with contemporary colours and finishes, maintaining spacious comfort. Every room has its own terrace or balcony to allow access to the fresh coastal breeze. The Delight also offers conferencing facilities and access to breakfast events.

extremely friendly reception, very nice surprise to find a bottle of white wine on the table, well appreciated.

Eldridge, Russell

14 May 2012

Good location and a nice big apartment. Spoiled by the stink of stale cigarette smoke that permeated all the rooms

Klein, Shirley

This B & B was exceptionally nice. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts were very good.

Terrett, Andrew

17 Oct 2011

Grand and clean ensuite self-catering accommodation and excellent breakfasts. Friendly and helpful hosts. Highly Recommend.

Pirotta, Enrico

11 Aug 2015

While being functional and well equipped, this resort is the one we liked the least. It is also very exposed to strong cold winds.

Ward, Esme

27 Aug 2015

Huge rooms, comfortable. Not sure we needed two nights but very relaxing. Probably most European in feel of all the places we stayed.

Leber, Elisa

30 Nov 2014

Friendly staff. Very close to the city centre and beach. Good for stopover to load the fridge with proper food and load some devices.

Van Der Westhuizen, Johan

22 Sep 2016

Great stay, staff was very helpful and booked our activities for us. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Overall a very good impression.

Cutter, Mark

Great place for a full on tourism town, well maintained and well organised. Good facilities throughout. Recommended as a stopover. Unsurprisingly, some people clearly staying there for the long haul.
