Namib Desert Camping2Go offers travellers a getaway to the edge of the oldest desert in the world, featuring all-round breathtaking views and a set up right at the foot of the infamous fossilised dunes. A day-trip takes you to the majestic Sossuvlei which is home to the world’s highest dunes, as well as the Sesriem Canyon. Here, there is an atmosphere that transcends time and solicits an unmatched silence and stillness from its visitors. Can you feel the warmth of the soft sand in between your toes? The eight permanent tents that have been set up contain four beds, an en-suite bathroom with a shower as well as a fully-equipped kitchen. The fridge, stove, sink and all the necessary cooking utensils allow for an uncompromised cooking experience even within the heart of the desert. In addition, there is an outside braai, as well as a fire pit to come around and enjoy an authentic Namibian escape.
If campers desire to make use of the facilities at Namib Desert Lodge that is located 700m away, this can be arranged at any point during the stay. A nice meal can be enjoyed at the lodge’s restaurant or guests can take a refreshing swim. Upon booking, there are also various activities to explore the area. These range from e-biking and hiking for the adventurous at heart, to dune drives at sunrise or sunset, chasing the wonderful hues of the Namibian sky.
