Toshari Lodge is only 25 kilometers from Etosha National Park's western entrance (Andersson's gate.) They offer reasonably priced accommodation compared to many other more expensively priced lodges nearby. This is an excellent base for self-drive tourists who would prefer to drive themselves around Etosha. Others can park up and join one of Toshari's guided trips into the park.
The restaurant and bar are located in the main thatched building. Buffet-style meals are usually served at breakfast and dinner. An excellent selection of Cape wines can be ordered before and after your evening meal. A light mid-day meal and lunch packs need to be booked in advance. Relax on the terrace or at the swimming pool to enjoy those spectacular Namibian sunsets. There is also a 'boma', where you can sit around a campfire and enjoy the lodge's traditional hospitality.
Accommodation at Toshari Lodge is in Standard or Luxury Chalets. All 37 rooms are tastefully decorated with Kiaat furniture, a locally grown hard wood. Overnight in:
Standard Chalet: 28 Standard Chalets with either double or twin beds, air-conditioning, mosquito nets and en-suite bathroom.
Luxury chalets: 13 chalets with either king-sized or double beds, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, mini-bar and coffee bar and a mosquito net.
Family Rooms: Fitted with a double and 3 single beds, air-conditioning, mosquito nets and an en-suite bathroom. 4-5 people
The restaurant offers buffet style breakfast and dinner meals. Lunch, breakfast and lunch bags can be ordered on request. For those wanting to enjoy some refreshment prior to and after dinner there is a full bar service with an excellent selection of Cape wines.
Etosha Game Drive: The lodge also offers game drives with a guide in an open game drive vehicle (10 people) (bigger truck 24 people). This 7 to 8 hour outing includes your entrance fee into the park as well as a wonderful lunch. Entrance fee not included.
Walking trails: There are a number of unguided walking trails ranging from 1 to 4km in the vicinity. There are also 3 walking trails available locally, starting and ending at Toshari Lodge.

On a small hill on the extreme western side of Etosha - Dolomite is the newest (and fifth camp) to open within the park boundaries. It is a smaller lodge as opposed to the traditional resort feel of the other camps within the park.

Toshari Lodge was o.k. In German: Aufgrund des Brandes des Restaurants im Februar diesen Jahres musste auf der Lodge viel improvisiert werden, was aber sehr gut gelang.
Fantastic experience. The Staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodation was lovely and so was the evening meal and entertainment. The perfect place to stay just outside Etosha.
Fantastic! Very nice rooms, great service. Loved the dinner outside with the fires blazing keeping you warm and such a lovely atmosphere. Very good price for such quality. We would go back again.
Very beautiful place, garden, pool, lounge and our luxury room was very beaufiful and peacufull. Excellent dinner and breakast, great game drive with Kelysha (some problem with the car). Very nice staying at all!
We had a great time with excellent game drives both days. The room a little disappointing as you would not use the word `luxury` to describe it, but we spent so little time in there it didn`t matter. Grounds, pool, food, staff all excellent. Again would highly recommend
Perfectly nice place to stay after a day in Etosha. Friendly service, food less good than other places we stayed. Nice and close to Etosha which we decided to revisit the next day to explore the west side of the park before heading off to Grootberg. That day was our best day on Safari by far!!
