Etosha Safari Camp is conveniently located just 10kms from Andersson's Gate (near the parks main rest-camp and administrative center, Okaukuejo). The camp provides a great base to explore Etosha National Park and offers competitively priced accommodation combined with friendly service.
There are 50 uniquely decorated safari bungalows, set on the first hill of the Ondundozonanandana mountain range. They are tastefully decorated with artistically painted floors and metal furniture, created by local Namibian craftsmen. Stretched across the length of the each bungalow is an inviting verandah, complete with comfortable tables and chairs. The dense vegetation and a canvas roof cast a shadow over the cool verandah, enabling guests to enjoy the surrounding environment.
The bungalows are equipped with air-conditioning, mosquito nets, practical shelving and coat hooks. The inventive and rustic design continues in the en-suite bathrooms with a hand-made ceramic basin and decorative copper mountings. The large gauze windows provide optimal air circulation.
Meals can be taken in the restaurant at the foot of the hill.
Etosha Safari Camp's bungalows are clearly very competitively priced, making it an attractive overnight stay. A more-than-acceptable, lower budget accommodation choice for self-driving to the Etosha National Park.
Etosha Safari Camp offers various guided game drives with open vehicles into the Etosha National Park. Or drive yourself into the Etosha Park and spend the day visiting the numerous waterholes in search of game.

These are honest reviews, both good and bad, from our travellers who visited this property.
Really nice decoration of the main lodge and good food offered. Location is great too. We liked it a lot
Perfect location just a few kilometers south of the Andersson gate. Friendly staff and great setting for dinner.
Perfect in all respects. Very helpful and nice staff, excellent food, highly appreciated the personal atmosphere.
Very nice accomodation and friendly personnel. One of the best food of the trip, made `with all her love` by the funny cook.
Camping on the lawn - excellent, no dirty, dusty tent! Clean ablution blocks. You can relax here after a long day in Etosha park.
Very nice Camp with very friendly staff. Bathrooms in very clean and good condition. The pool and the bar are very nice to visit.
Necessary stop, but alternative place could be an option. Swimming pool was out of order. Only advantage was that it was close to the park.
We arrived on a HOT day with drinks and food that we needed to keep cool. Sadly - no fridges in the rooms. The communal area is great though.
Accommodation comfortable and clean lovely restaurant and shebeen pub area, decor very interesting which takes one way back in time staff. very friendly
Meals ok but lack of option. We did not want to have 3 course meals every night- especially as we were staying for 3 nights- yet there was no alternative.
We found the camp to be a good standard of accommodation, food a little more expensive than inside the park but plenty of variety and pleasant camp atmosphere.
Very cosy hotel...the rooms were big and the bathroom very orginal! The diner was expensive but you get true for your money...it was the best food! A wonderful good buffet!
Being inside the park has the advantage to be quickly to the water holes (also at night) camping outside the park is less stressy. Safari Camp is a very nice spot, good service.
loved the night entertainment - great singing in native language by 3 young musicians - excellent! Also loved the staff (including the chef) singing and dancing - really joyful!
Charming venue, dinner is an experience with the local live music. Showers - very hard to get the temperature right; either burn or freeze! Almost kind of an adventure in it's own right!
Very convenient for the park and attractive room. We liked the quirky paint work in the bathrooms. The food was good and the ambience of the `shebeen` was much nicer than it appears in the photos
Great hotel. Loved the bar with the Shebeen layout. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are gluten free eaters and they surprised us with fluten free bread. If we`re ever heading back to Etosha we`ll stay there again.
Staff and management made us feel very welcome. Elephant shower was a great feature in the room. Enjoyed the breakfast and dinner. Very quirky and homely. Even took the time to find me when my mum phoned me from the uk which they did not have to do.
This camp is an excellent and cheap alternative to the camps inside the etosha park. It is situated very close to the gate and is located in a very nice landscape. It is quiet & clean and the owners do a great job, especially the dinner with live band is really nice.
Very friendly and warm atmosphere. We did appreciate the kindness of the whole staff, the room was perfect and with a lot of space for 2 persons. The only weakness were the dinners that, being prepared for many people, had the typical "canteen" taste. But it didn't matter!
Etosha Safari Camp is situated 10km south of Etosha's Anderssons gate entrance (the western entrance to Etosha)
