Mushara Bush Camp is the third addition to the outstanding Mushara Collection and is only 1km away from, and on the same reserve as, The Mushara Lodge. The Villa and The Mushara Outpost complete the group. The Bush Camp offers a more down-to-earth tented camp experience, and is a suitable and an affordable base for travellers, including families, who wish to explore Etosha National Park.
The main thatched Bush Camp area houses a restaurant, bar and guest lounge. There is disabled access, Internet connection and secure parking. A hot and cold breakfast style buffet, light lunches and a set dinner menu are served on the verandah, with the bush as your closest companion. The swimming pool is ideal for a splash and a dip after a day's activities as well as a chill out zone. The true bush camp impression is enhanced by the evening campfire, a great chance to exchange wildlife sightings, travel stories and plans, with fellow guests
The 16 custom-made luxury tents are built from a combination of canvas and local limestone. They are all equipped with an en-suite bathroom and shower, (and oversized window to view the bush) a fan, mosquito nets, tea/coffee station and an in-room safe. Every tent has it's own 8 square meter private verandah, with roof to floor window. The brushed cement floors and lime stone walls, are designed to keep the rooms cool from the hot afternoon sun. 4 of these tents are ideally suited for families, as they have a sleeper couch, ideal for two small children.
Activities at the camp centre around morning and afternoon game drives into Etosha National Park.
Mushara Bush Camp. The affordable, tented bush camp experience.
Game drives: The camp runs traditional morning and afternoon game drives into Etosha National Park. As it is only 8km from the eastern gate then you are not too far away from elephant, rhino and the many species of antelope, bird and predators the park has to offer. Many of their guests prefer to self-drive into Etosha.
Small mid-price lodge close to the park gate - situated of the private Fischer's pan reserve.
Just north of the King Nehale Gate into Etosha, this new property offers guests full access to the national park, as well as the opportunity to explore the north-central reaches of Namibia. The Etosha King Nehale serves as the gateway into a unique cultural adventure. Every detail of this property was refined and delicately implemented to reflect the essence of royalty and the charm of the OshiWambo culture. Each room stands as its own unit, with private plunge pool and unmatched views of the Andoni Plains. Beyond the plains, the property also offers access to a private waterhole in the National Park. Guests are invited to embrace their inner royalty.
Good accommodation at a reasonable price, close to the park entrance.
Small intimate tented camp built on raised platforms, good for privacy and a 'luxury outdoor' feel.
Inside the park borders, built around Fort Namutoni. Recently upgraded to appeal to more 'up-market' visitors.
Large lodge situated at the Namutoni entrance gate to Etosha. Excellent facilities but expect to share these with large group tours.
Newly renovated, good mid-market option for self-drive tourists.
A tented camp just outside Etosha.
Luxury lodge built around a fort on Fischer's Pan. Easy access to the park.
The first new accommodation to be built inside the Etosha National Park in over 30 years. The camp sits on a wooden deck on an isolated peninsula overlooking the pan.
Very exclusive private suites, all mod-cons and luxuries.
These are honest reviews, both good and bad, from our travellers who visited this property.
Elegant and comfortable. I loved the experience there and the outstanding dinner too. Good people and service
Another hit with us! Didn't spend too much time here, but we loved the accommodations, the food and the staff.
Excellent. Well run. Highly recommended. And this applies to all three of the Mushara properties which we visited.
Luxury tents, isolated and private. Lovely freshwater swimming pool. Excellent service. Very convenient for Etosha.
Excellent.Great service, good location, very good food. Great services for kids. worth the money spent. 10/10 for this
Excellent. We loved the restaurant area and food, the tented chalets, the game drive and the tame warthogs that greeted us.
FANTASTIC meals, superb tent lodges. Eiderdaun duvets, warming bottle-utter luxury combined with privacy and feeling of security.
nice place. gravel a pain in the butt with the wheelchair. had place to ourselves. dinner included was a bonus. tent too hot during the day
This was probably our FAVOURITE stop for 2 nights. The tented accommodation was excellent, very friendly staff and delicious food. No complaints at all.
Maybe the best place I've stayed anywhere in the world. Stunning property, but the staff is really what made the difference. Excellent food and hospitality.
Was not our favorite. Our tent cabin, while nicely appointed, was infested with a bazillion ants. Wifi was very poor in the common area. Food was underwhelming.
Possibly our favorite lodge. Close to Etosha park, very comfortable tented accommodation, and a good place to relax and be ready to visit the wildlife to next day.
Wow, they upgraded us to the Treehouse accommodation, which looks over the waterhole, again great staff, good food, and my husband did a night drive. Highly recommended to all
Very nice camp! Comfortable and romantic tent, and great restaurant and lounge area. Close to the main road leading into Etosha, so you lose little time in the morning. Only drawback are few animals.
Delightful place! It was so well designed and we really felt like we had our own place in the middle of the woods! Beautiful tents and great staff. We loved sitting by the fire and mingling with the warthogs!
OOOh! Also a wopnderful experience. The dinner under the stars by the camp fire was something unforgetable. And the food!... And the architecture, the decoration! We felt we were at a five star hotel midst of the bush!!!
it was one proposed by you (The Cardboard Box Travel Shop), as the one I asked to book was full. Great choice and a bit special, gives you the feeling of `sleeping under the stars` although very luxurious - great experience
We all enjoyed our night at Mushara. The photos on the website do not do the lodge justice. The dining area was a lovely mix of African and modern styles with lots of nice touches like the magazine racks and a children`s toy box.
74 kilometres north of Tsumeb on the B1, turn west towards Namutoni on the C38. After another 15 kilometres you will find the entrance to the Mushara Bush Camp on your left-hand side (the entrance to Etosha is another 8km along the C38)Download Map
