Etosha King Nehale is set approximately 1km from Etosha NP's King Nehale Gate, the northern entrance to Namibia's most visited tourist attraction. As the lodge is situated in the King Nehale Conservancy, it pays homage to the King's rich cultural heritage. The landscapes here are spectacular and vast and include the Andoni Plains, artesian springs and woodlands.
This is the perfect location for self-drive tourists and individual travellers who wish to visit a unique attraction. A lodge set on the outside of a major tourist attraction, with the outstanding opportunity to visit a private waterhole nearby inside Etosha NP. Exclusivity and uninterrupted game viewing, not experienced at any other such feature inside the park, is a major drawcard here. Stay here on the northern leg of your Namibian journey to or from Rundu, the Zambezi Region, Victoria Falls, Chobe NP and the Okavango Delta.
To the north of Etosha King Nehale, the conservancy is surrounded by the largest urban concentration of people in Namibia. They live in the Omusati, Oshana, Ohangwena and Oshikoto regions, between Etosha NP and the country's northern border with Angola. Most of this region consists of communal farming land; that is land where there is no individual ownership or boundaries. The majority of people staying in this area live from subsistence farming. The best time of year to visit the region is from after the rains in April or May. The roads are in better condition to drive on, the temperature is cooler and water birds, such as storks, herons, ducks, cranes and small waders can be observed in the wetlands.
Guests can wine and dine in the restaurant and bar. This is a perfect opportunity to chat with fellow travellers about their day's adventures and experiences. Chill and relax on the verandah with private splash pool, an ideal time to escape the hot Namibian sunshine.
Guests stay in a total of 40 bungalows. Each one celebrates the region's rich cultural heritage.
